Privacy Policy

Overview
Studio Nodoka builds software and operates studionodoka.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we share it, and how our software products handle data.
Our general approach is simple: we collect as little information as practical, we do not sell personal information, and our desktop software is designed to keep your files on your own device.
Information We Collect
Purchase and Donation Information
When you make a purchase or donation, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive and store order records such as your email address, product purchased, donation amount, currency, order identifiers, purchase status, refund status, license information, and Stripe customer or transaction identifiers.
Contact and Support Messages
If you contact us or use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide so we can respond. We may also store a hashed version of your IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
Security and Website Operation
We may receive basic technical information through our hosting, security, and infrastructure providers, such as IP address, user agent, requested pages, timestamps, and referrer information. We use this to keep the site secure, debug problems, prevent abuse, and understand service reliability.
If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled on a form, Cloudflare may process information needed to verify that the submission is not automated abuse. Download buttons or release links may also take you to GitHub or request release information from GitHub-hosted repositories.
Studio Nodoka Software
Tagumi
Tagumi is a free, MIT-licensed desktop audio metadata editor that is designed to work offline after installation.
Tagumi works offline after installation, does not connect to Studio Nodoka servers, and does not send us telemetry, analytics, crash reports, usage data, audio files, metadata, artwork, or library contents.
Files, settings, projects, tags, artwork, and other content you use with Tagumi remain on your own device unless you choose to move, export, back up, sync, or share them using tools outside the product.
The MIT License governs your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute the licensed software. It does not require Studio Nodoka to collect personal information.
The Sound Atlas
The Sound Atlas is a web-based music genre atlas. Studio Nodoka does not use The Sound Atlas to collect your music library, listening history, personal audio files, or payment information.
Because The Sound Atlas is a website, basic technical information may be processed by hosting, security, and infrastructure providers as described in the Security and Website Operation section above. If The Sound Atlas links to third-party music services, media, or references, those third parties may handle information under their own privacy policies.
Tuneout
Tuneout has its own privacy policy. For Tuneout privacy practices, please refer to the Tuneout Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between this policy and the Tuneout Privacy Policy for Tuneout-specific features, the Tuneout Privacy Policy controls.
What Offline Desktop Products Do Not Collect
- No advertising identifiers
- No background marketing tracking
- No Studio Nodoka telemetry from offline desktop products
- No upload of your music library, audio files, tags, or artwork to Studio Nodoka
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to provide the website, process purchases and donations, manage licenses, respond to messages, prevent abuse, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and improve reliability.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for third-party advertising.
We share information only when needed to operate Studio Nodoka, such as with payment, hosting, database, security, and support providers; when you choose to use a third-party platform such as GitHub; when required by law; or when necessary to protect Studio Nodoka, our users, or the public.
Cookies and Tracking
Studio Nodoka does not use third-party advertising cookies or analytics scripts. Essential cookies or similar technologies may be used for checkout, security, fraud prevention, and basic site operation.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including support, purchase records, legal compliance, security, and abuse prevention. Some records, such as payment and tax-related records, may need to be kept longer than contact or support data.
Your Choices and Rights
You can contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information associated with your messages, purchases, or other interactions with Studio Nodoka. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may be retained where required for legal, security, or transaction records.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law.
Children's Privacy
Studio Nodoka is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we handle. No online service or local device can be guaranteed completely secure, so we also recommend keeping your operating system, browser, and software up to date.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our products, website, providers, or legal obligations change. If a Studio Nodoka product begins collecting or transmitting new categories of information, we will update this policy or the product documentation accordingly.
